No matter the question, we're eager to support you! See below for virtual office hours, consultations, listerv, Slack, and more! If you're interested in requesting mid-semester student feedback in collaboration with CELT, you may use this form.
Visit our Virtual Office Hours
We are eager to help with any questions, from the technical to the teacherly. Pop in for a quick how-to or stick around and talk through more complex ideas. Virtual office hours are held via Zoom and are held Monday through Friday from 9am—5pm. The hours will be kept up-to-date here.
Stay Connected: Email and Slack
Even though we're teaching remotely, we can stay connected with our colleagues and communities. You can join the CELT email listserv for weekly updates about events and news related to teaching and learning at UK. And, you can join the UK Teaching Community Slack group, a conversation platform for faculty, instructors, and staff to share questions, insights, experiences, and resources across the disciplines. The community guidelines can be found here.
Get Help from a Colleague
Since the move to remote instruction was announced, our teaching community has come together in so many ways. We've called for volunteers to stand at the ready if their colleagues need assistance with Canvas, Zoom, other educational technologies, and strategies for teaching online in this unusual time. If you send us your information through the form linked here we'll connect you with a colleague who is eager to support our community with their expertise and experience.
Visit the Virtual Media Depot
For assistance with instructional media creation, the Faculty Media Depot is holding virtual office hours this summer using the same Zoom link as the overall TLAI office hours. For the FMD office hours schedule, see their website. Virtual consultations can also be scheduled with access to available online services, trainings, and consultations. To make an appointment send a message to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Students looking for media support can reach out to the Student Media Depot.
